Tracy-Erin Duggan
Managing Director

Background
Tracy-Erin Duggan graduated from the University of South Africa with an LLB degree in 2008. She joined Stegmanns Incorporated as a candidate attorney in 2008 and was admitted as an Attorney and as a Notary Public in 2009. Tracy-Erin Duggan was appointed as a director of Stegmanns in 2015. Tracy-Erin is the Chairperson of Stegmanns Inc. and she also heads up and manages the Nelspruit Branch of Stegmanns Inc.
Colette Botha
Financial Director

Background
Colette Botha obtained her LLB Degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria in 2000. She completed her articles of clerkship at Stegmanns Incorporated in 2002 and was also admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2002. Colette was then appointed as a Director of the firm in 2005. She currently heads up the Home Loan Registration and Cancellations Department and specialises in Commercial Property Finance.
Flora Modiba
Director

Background
Flora Modiba graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with an LLB degree in 2003. She joined Stegmanns Incorporated as a candidate attorney in 2004. She was admitted as an attorney in 2005 and as a Conveyancer in 2008. Flora was appointed as a Director of Stegmanns Incorporated in 2008. In 2012, she obtained a certificate in Sectional Title Management from the University of Cape Town and she is a Conveyancing Attorney, as well as the firm’s Public Relations Director.
Jana Doussy
Director

Background
Jana is the Director who heads up our Intellectual Property Law and Commercial Law Department. She is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with many years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a certificate in Corporate Law. She is a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL). Her expertise include Trade Mark Prosecution and Litigation, Designs, Copyright, Domain Disputes, Cyber Law and IT Law in particular relating to Software and Internet Agreements, Intellectual Property Law, Intellectual Property Litigation, Company Law and Commercial Law.

She has experience in the practice and procedure of the High Court and Magistrate Court.
Nicole Pagel
Non-Executive Director

Background
Nicole obtained her BLC and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria in 1997 and 1999 respectively. She completed her articles of clerkship at Stegmanns Incorporated in 2001 and was appointed as a Director of the Firm in 2005. She was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2002 and as a Notary Public in 2005. Nicole's passion and speciality lies in property law, more specifically, new developments (Residential and Commercial), ordinary and sectional title transfers and all forms of notarial work.

Nicole heads up the Transfers, Notarial and Estates Departments at Stegmanns Inc, and she also serves on the Pretoria Attorney's Associations' Property Law Committee.
Gareth Shepperson
Senior Associate

Background
Gareth was admitted as an Attorney in 1996 and Conveyancer in 2002.

Gareth has been recognised by various organisations for his expertise in the fields of corporate, commercial and property law. This recognition includes being appointed as Chairman of the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) Gauteng and appointments to the SAPOA National Council and SAPOA Legal Committee. Gareth is also a past Chairman of the Property Committee of the Pretoria Attorneys Association (PAA), a member of the Executive Committee of the PAA, a member of the Executive Committee of the Gauteng Attorneys Association (GAA), past member of the Property Committee of the Law Society (LSNP) and past representative of the legal profession on the Gauteng Interdepartmental Stakeholders Engagement Committee (GISEC). Gareth was previously appointed to the Sectional Titles Regulation Board by the Minister: Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development.

Gareth has written numerous articles and he was a frequent guest on “Ask the Property Experts” on Business Day TV. Gareth speaks at a variety of property events and is a guest lecturer at Property Training Events.

In the field of corporate and commercial law, Gareth previously served on the Law Society’s Company Law Committee and he was also appointed to the SIRDAR Corporate Governance Panel, as well as being a member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa. Gareth is a Director of various companies and he is also the Independent Trustee on numerous Trusts. Gareth has been appointed as a NFT Auditor and advises Clients on Smart Contracts, NFT’s and Blockchain. Gareth is the Chairman of the IT Committee of the Pretoria Attorneys Association.

Gareth has obtained a BProc Degree (UNISA), a Post Graduate Certificate in Tax (UNISA Centre for Accounting Studies), achieved first place at the prestigious Property Development Program (UCT Graduate School of Business), a Certificate in Business Rescue (UNISA) (with distinction) and obtained the Property Development and Investment Certificate (UCT).

Gareth joined Stegmanns in December 2021 as a senior associate in the Property Law Department.
Jacques Smith
Senior Associate

Background
He has over 15 years of experience in General Litigation, Insolvency, Compliance, Steel and Construction, Regulatory Law, Arbitrations, Company Law and Commercial Law.

His passion lies with Construction Law and he has gained invaluable experience, over many years, in contract and claims management working on major projects such as Medupi and Kusile Power Plant Projects.

He is currently a Senior Associate, specialising in Commercial and General Litigation and Construction Law.
Disemelo Ntsoane
Associate

Background
Disemelo obtained her LLB Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2011. She completed her articles of clerkship at Stegmanns Incorporated and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in July 2016.

Thereafter, she joined Standard Bank of South Africa in the Legal Recoveries and Foreclosure Department as a Junior Legal Manager in 2017. In 2019, she moved to Octogen Financial Services, a Debt Review company as a Legal Supervisor, and later, People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) as a Legal Manager in 2021.

Disemelo’s core practice areas are Labour, Foreclosure, Family, Debt Review, Legal Recoveries and Civil Litigation.

April 2022, Disemelo was appointed as an Associate in the Labour, Family and General Litigation.
Suléne van Rensburg
Junior Associate

Background
Suléne obtained her BA Law and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria in 2016 and 2018 respectively; and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2019, as a Notary Public in 2021, and as a Conveyancer in February 2022.

Suléne’s passion lies in property law and all forms of notarial work. She has a desire to serve people and to expand her knowledge practicing as a Conveyancer and Notary Public. She joined Stegmanns Incorporated in August 2022 as a Junior Conveyancer.

She believes that patience, persistence and perseverance makes an unbeatable combination for success.
Tremayne Naicker
Junior Associate

Background
Tremayne graduated with an LLB degree from the University of the Free State in 2018 with electives in Medical Law and Intellectual Property Law. In 2019, he was selected as a Legal Analyst to form part of an international legal development team for an international law firm based in London. He completed his articles at a corporate law firm in Pretoria and is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He has joined Stegmanns as a legal practitioner in the Legal Recoveries and Construction law department and is looking forward to learning, growing, and experiencing new opportunities and challenges.
Anrich van Stryp
Junior Associate

Background
Anrich obtained his BA (Law) Majoring in Psychology from the University of Pretoria in 2017 and his LLB in 2019. Anrich served on the International Association of Woman Judges for 2019 and worked under Judge Teffo at the High Court of Pretoria for that period.

He was admitted as an attorney in May 2022 and has spent most of his time in litigation. In May 2022, Anrich was appointed as a professional assistant in the Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law Department at Stegmanns.

Anrich plans on pursuing further post graduate studies in International Contract Law and International Child Protection Law.
Isaura Spa Cardoso
Junior Associate

Background
Isaura is an attorney at Stegmanns Inc, Nelspruit. She graduated from the University of South Africa with an LLB degree and joined Stegmanns Inc. as a candidate attorney in 2018. Her focus and passion lie in legal recoveries, foreclosures, administration of estates, correspondent matters and general litigation.
Ambress Dickenson
Professional Assistant

Background
Ambress graduated from the University of South Africa with a B.Proc degree in 2003, and was admitted as an attorney in 2004 and has Right of Appearance in the High Court.

He spent many years in Civil litigation, Personal Injury law and Deceased Estates.

In February 2022, Ambress was admitted as a Conveyancer. He joined the Stegmanns Nelspruit branch in May 2022 and will attend to property law related matters and deceased estates.
Aaron Balie
Candidate Attorney

Background
Completed my BCom (Law) degree in 2020 and LLB (with distinction) in 2022 at the University of Pretoria. Selected for the Dean’s Merit List in my first year of LLB studies. Candidate Attorney in the Intellectual Property Law department at Stegmanns Inc. Acted as Treasurer for Luminous Day House in my second year of studies. During my time at Tuks I was selected for various leadership courses, namely “Master Leader” and “Challenge”. “Challenge” focused on leadership having regard to socio-economic issues. Proud old boy of Pretoria Boys High School.
Given Ngomane
Candidate Attorney

Background
Given graduated from the University of the Free State with an LLB degree in 2020. Prior to Joining Stegmanns Inc, he was employed at Tollig Attorneys where he gained invaluable experience in the debt collection matters. He is currently a Candidate Attorney in the Legal Recoveries and General Litigation department.

His enthusiasm for the law, eagerness to learn and his work ethic are the ordinance that navigate his distinctive objective towards being a well-rounded legal practitioner in the near future.
Megan Kriel
Candidate Attorney

Background
Megan obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Law (BA Law) in 2019 at the University of Stellenbosch, majoring in Political Science and English. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) in 2022, focussing on Advanced Company law, Advanced family law, Advanced Tax Law and Accounting.

Prior to starting at Stegmanns Inc, she was employed at Brits Attorneys Inc, where she gained invaluable experience in conveyancing and property law.

She is currently a Candidate Attorney in the Collections and Recoveries department.
Chay Donné
Candidate Attorney

Background
Chay started her articles at Stegmanns Inc in 2024 after interning at many Intellectual Property law firms, including Stegmanns’ own Commercial and Intellectual Property Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Physiology, Genetics and Psychology, a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Law as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees all from the University of Pretoria.

Chay is passionate about neuroscience and has a certificate in Neuroscience, obtained with distinction from the University of Pretoria. Her final year essay was on patent law in South Africa and her final year electives included medical law, private international law, law of competition, as well as communication and information technology law.

She believes that ‘doubt prevents success, more than failure ever will’.
Mia Storbeck
Candidate Attorney

Background
Mia Storbeck obtained her BCom Law degree in 2021 at the University of Pretoria, majoring in Accounting and Taxation. She then went on to obtain her LLB degree from the University of Pretoria in 2023. She is currently a candidate attorney in the General Litigation department.
Annatjie Badenhorst
Estates Administrator

Background
Annatjie started her career as a Junior Examiner at the Master of the High Court in Pretoria in February 1981. She was fortunate enough to have worked with and be trained by seniors who have a passion for their work and a desire to serve people. She admitted that their passion was contagious. Working at the Master’s Office, Annatjie gained a wealth of experience in all kind of estates such as Deceased Estates, Curatorships and Insolvencies.

She then spent 16 years in the Insolvency Practitioners’ world after which she joined a Law Firm in 2004 where she gained invaluable experience in administering estates and drafting Wills.

Annatjie completed a course in the Administration of Deceased Estates in 2008 at UNISA and was appointment as a Commissioner of Oaths in her capacity as Deceased Estates Administrator in 2013.

Annatjie joined Stegmanns Incorporated in March 2008 and is the Deceased Estates Administrator.
Charmaine Higgins
Office Manager

Background
Charmaine Higgins is the Office Manager and is responsible the logistical management of the practice. She joined the Stegmanns’ team in March 2014 after many years in the fields of logistics, marketing and business management.
