Tracy-Erin Duggan
Managing Director

Background
Tracy-Erin Duggan graduated from the University of South Africa with an LLB degree in 2008. She joined Stegmanns Incorporated as a candidate attorney in 2008 and was admitted as an Attorney and as a Notary Public in 2009. Tracy-Erin Duggan was appointed as a director of Stegmanns in 2015. Tracy-Erin is the Chairperson of Stegmanns Inc. and she also heads up and manages the Nelspruit Branch of Stegmanns Inc.
Colette Botha
Financial Director

Background
Colette Botha obtained her LLB Degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria in 2000. She completed her articles of clerkship at Stegmanns Incorporated in 2002 and was also admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2002. Colette was then appointed as a Director of the firm in 2005. She currently heads up the Home Loan Registration and Cancellations Department and specialises in Commercial Property Finance.
Flora Modiba
Director

Background
Flora Modiba graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with an LLB degree in 2003. She joined Stegmanns Incorporated as a candidate attorney in 2004. She was admitted as an attorney in 2005 and as a Conveyancer in 2008. Flora was appointed as a Director of Stegmanns Incorporated in 2008. In 2012, she obtained a certificate in Sectional Title Management from the University of Cape Town and she is a Conveyancing Attorney, as well as the firm’s Public Relations Director.
Isa Vorster
Director

Background
Isa Vorster heads up the Civil Litigation department, specialising in Labour Law and Family Law and is assisted by Marlise Wooldridge (Attorney).

Isa started her career in the corporate environment and, spanning a period of 17 years, got promoted to senior management level (Human Resources) whilst obtaining the following qualifications:

BA degree from Unisa
Diploma in Labour Law from the Graduate Institute of Management and Technology
A Management Development qualification from the Manchester Business School

Isa was admitted as an Attorney in 2009 and has been with Stegmanns Incorporated since 2011.
Jana Doussy
Director

Background
Jana is the Director who heads up our Intellectual Property Law and Commercial Law Department. She is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with many years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a certificate in Corporate Law. She is an Associate of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL). Her expertise include Trade Mark Prosecution and Litigation, Designs, Copyright, Domain Disputes, Cyber Law and IT Law in particular relating to Software and Internet Agreements, Intellectual Property Law, Intellectual Property Litigation, Company Law and Commercial Law.

She has experience in the practice and procedure of the High Court and Magistrate Court.
Nicole Pagel
Non-Executive Director

Background
Nicole obtained her BLC and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria in 1997 and 1999 respectively. She completed her articles of clerkship at Stegmanns Incorporated in 2001 and was appointed as a Director of the Firm in 2005. She was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2002 and as a Notary Public in 2005. Nicole's passion and speciality lies in property law, more specifically, new developments (Residential and Commercial), ordinary and sectional title transfers and all forms of notarial work.

Nicole heads up the Transfers, Notarial and Estates Departments at Stegmanns Inc, and she also serves on the Pretoria Attorney's Associations' Property Law Committee.
Gareth Shepperson
Senior Associate

Background
Gareth was admitted as an Attorney in 1996 and Conveyancer in 2002.

Gareth has been recognised by various organisations for his expertise in the fields of corporate, commercial and property law. This recognition includes being appointed as CHAIRMAN of the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) Gauteng and appointments to the SAPOA National Council and Legal Committee. Gareth is also a past CHAIRMAN of the Property Committee of the Pretoria Attorneys Association (PAA), a member of the Executive Committee of the PAA, a member of the Executive Committee of the Gauteng Attorneys Association (GAA), past member of the Property Committee of the Law Society (LSNP) and past representative of the legal profession on the Gauteng Interdepartmental Stakeholders Engagement Committee (GISEC). Gareth has been appointed to the Sectional Titles Regulation Board by the Minister.

Gareth has written numerous articles and was a frequent guest on “Ask the Property Experts” on Business Day TV. Gareth speaks at a variety of property events and is a guest lecturer at certain Property Training Events.

In the field of corporate and commercial law, Gareth previously served on the Law Society’s Company Law Committee and he was also appointed to the SIRDAR Corporate Governance Panel, as well as being a member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa. Gareth is a Director of various companies and he is also the Independent Trustee on numerous Trusts.

Gareth has obtained a BProc Degree (UNISA), a Post Grad Certificate in Tax (UNISA Centre for Accounting Studies), achieved first place at the prestigious Property Development Program (UCT Graduate School of Business), a Certificate in Business Rescue (UNISA) and the Property Development and Investment Certificate (UCT).

Gareth joined Stegmanns in December 2021 as a senior associate in the Property Law Department.
Jacques Smith
Senior Associate

Background
He has over 15 years of experience in General Litigation, Insolvency, Compliance, Steel and Construction, Regulatory Law, Arbitrations, Company Law and Commercial Law.

His passion lies with Construction Law and he has gained invaluable experience, over many years, in contract and claims management working on major projects such as Medupi and Kusile Power Plant Projects.

He is currently a Senior Associate, specialising in Commercial and General Litigation and Construction Law.
Robyn De Veer
Senior Associate

Background
Robyn de Veer obtained her LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012 and completed her articles of clerkship at Stegmanns Incorporated. She was admitted as an Attorney in 2014, as a Conveyancer in 2015 and as a Notary Public in 2016. Robyn heads up the Notarial and Transfers department in her position as Senior Associate and specialises in all matters property and notarial related, including, but not limited to, property transfers, township and sectional title establishments, notarial leases and ante nuptial contracts.
Marlise Wooldridge
Professional Assistant

Background
Marlise obtained her LLB degree through the University of South Africa in 2012 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in February 2015, with Right of Appearance in the High Court of South Africa.

Marlise has vast experience in the fields of Labour, Family, Criminal, and Civil Litigation and frequently appears in the CCMA and Bargaining Councils as well as the Labour, Magistrate and High Courts.

Marlise proudly joined Stegmanns in February 2020 as an Attorney in the Labour, Family and General Litigation Department.
Amori Steyn
Professional Assistant

Background
Amori obtained her Bachelors of Commerce in Law (BCom Law) in 2015 with main focus on Tax and Accounting. She was subsequently awarded a Bachelors of Law (LLB) in 2017 by the University of Pretoria. While studying towards her respective degrees, she was inducted as a Honorary Member of the Golden Key Honour Society for academic merit. Amori is a published academic writer and received acclaim for her article “The EIA process and the effect thereof on Public Participation” in the 2017/2018 Pretoria Student Law Review (as published by PULP).

Amori is an admitted Attorney , Notary Public and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa. She joined the Notarial and Transfers Department at Stegmanns Incorporated in October 2019.

She attends to all notarial and property law related matters and oversees all property related correspondent work.
Louise Cloete
Professional Assistant

Background
Louise graduated from the University of Pretoria after obtaining her Bachelors of Commerce in Law (BCom Law) in 2015 and Bachelors of Law (LLB) in 2017 at the University of Pretoria. Louise was inducted as a honorary member of the Golden Key Society for her academic merit during her first year of studies. She completed her articles of clerkship in 2019 after gaining extensive knowledge in the field of Conveyancing. In March 2020, Louise joined our Nelspruit branch as Conveyancer and admitted Attorney. She aims to be admitted as a Notary Public and believes hard work and a keen eye for detail is crucial in any field of law.
Jesujoba Ilesanmi
Professional Assistant

Background
Joba is a commercial Attorney in the Commercial and Intellectual Property Law Department. He obtained his BA (Law) and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria in 2016 and 2018, respectively. He served on the Student Disciplinary Advisory Panel at the University of Pretoria.

In 2018 he was inducted into the Golden Key International Honours Society for being in the top 15% in the LLB program. He aims to obtain an LLM in Securities Law.
Dawn Barendse
Candidate Attorney

Background
Dawn completed her LLB Degree at the University of Pretoria in 2019. She served as an executive member on the boards of two major organisations at the University of Pretoria, namely TuksRes, as well as the Black Lawyer’s Association (Student Chapter), during the course of her studies. She also graduated from the Tuks Women in Leadership Academy (TWLA) in 2016, a programme that teaches young women leadership skills and development.

Dawn completed her Practical Legal Training with LEAD LSSA at the end of 2020 whilst working as a Legal Secretary prior to joining Stegmanns Incorporated. She is registered for a BCom Law degree with UNISA and is currently a Candidate Attorney in our Legal Recoveries Department.
Lelo Phetheli
Candidate Attorney

Background
Lelo obtained her Bachelor of Commerce in Law (BCom Law) in 2018 at the University of Pretoria having majored in Financial Management and Accounting. She subsequently completed her Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) and was awarded same in 2020. During the course of her studies she was a member of the Women in Law: UP Chapter Society (UPWIL) as well as the National Association of Democratic Lawyers Student Chapter University of Pretoria (NADEL).

Lelo completed her Practical Legal Training with the University of Pretoria in 2021, prior to joining Stegmanns Incorporated in January 2022.

She is currently a Candidate Attorney in our Labour, Family and General Litigation Department.
Madeleen Rademan
Candidate Attorney

Background
Madeleen completed her Baccalaureus of Nursing Science from the University of Pretoria in 2012 and is qualified as a Professional Registered Nurse and Midwife. Her practical training includes among others, Trauma, Theatre, Community, Psychiatry, and Midwifery. After being employed for almost 2 years at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in the Department of Internal Medicine, she gained four years of experience as a product specialist, specializing in Terumo Medical Devices and endovascular procedures done by cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and endovascular surgeons.

In December 2021, Madeleen obtained her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria with several distinctions and used her insight of the South African Healthcare System to motivate her in writing her final year thesis ‘The Legal Implications of the Emergency Use of Unregistered and Experimental Interventions during the Covid-19 pandemic: A Comparative Analysis’ under the Supervision Ms. Rani Pillay. Her electives included Law of Trust and Estates, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Law of Damages and Medical Law. In addition to experience in the medical industry, Madeleen intends to obtain experience in all other fields of law.

Madeleen is currently starting her rotation as a candidate attorney in the Intellectual Property Department.

She believes ‘Education will open a stairway that will enable us to reach our dreams without having to resent others for achieving theirs’. Never stop learning. Nelson Mandela once said, a good heart and a good head is a formidable combination.
Isaura Spa Cardoso
Candidate Attorney

Background
Isaura obtained her LLB degree from the University of South Africa in 2018, where after she enrolled in the LEAD-UNISA Distance School for Legal Practice programme. Isaura recently joined our Nelspruit branch to commence with her articles of clerkship and to gain valuable experience in the fields of Litigation and Property Law.
Annatjie Badenhorst
Estates Administrator

Background
Annatjie started her career as a Junior Examiner at the Master of the High Court in Pretoria in February 1981. She was fortunate enough to have worked with and be trained by seniors who have a passion for their work and a desire to serve people. She admitted that their passion was contagious. Working at the Master’s Office, Annatjie gained a wealth of experience in all kind of estates such as Deceased Estates, Curatorships and Insolvencies.

She then spent 16 years in the Insolvency Practitioners’ world after which she joined a Law Firm in 2004 where she gained invaluable experience in administering estates and drafting Wills.

Annatjie completed a course in the Administration of Deceased Estates in 2008 at UNISA and was appointment as a Commissioner of Oaths in her capacity as Deceased Estates Administrator in 2013.

Annatjie joined Stegmanns Incorporated in March 2008 and is the Deceased Estates Administrator.
Charmaine Higgins
Office Manager

Background
Charmaine Higgins is the Office Manager and is responsible the logistical management of the practice. She joined the Stegmanns’ team in March 2014 after many years in the fields of logistics, marketing and business management.
